Nepal help with a focus on transparency, familiarity and sustainability

Our concept at Future Citizen is clear and unambiguous: remain manageable in size and act locally. We define ourselves as a help program for disadvantaged children in Jiri that focuses on housing and education. Our Nepal help program for the mountain village of Jiri will deliberately only grow moderately: slowly and in a controlled manner.

Transparency

For us, transparency means openly presenting the organization and management of the aid program. This concerns the goals, the people involved, the origin and use of the financing and our long-term vision. We will ensure this through regular updates of the information provided via our communication tools and annual events.

Familiarity

Familiarity means that we build a manageable circle of supporters whom we can inform and support directly and individually. We also use social media specifically for this purpose. Our Facebook presence is constantly expanding and our new website will provide additional information. In this way, we ensure that current information and local developments are available very quickly; either via the medium Facebook or the website. We don't want to overload our supporters with status reports, photos and the like, but rather provide them with targeted information when and where they want it. It is desirable that donors be close to the children, be it in communication via social media or in personal contact on site.

Sustainability

Sustainability is intended to underline the long-term impact of the program. For us, it's not about financing the children's daily lives. This is just the basis to ensure the long-term goal of education. Only if we manage to provide children with a good education will we improve their life prospects. So it's not about short-term success, but rather the structural and long-term effect.
